FOTODOK – (NO) PRIVACY

For the exhibition (no) privacy, which explores human interaction and internet security, I created a series of sea creatures that each represent different aspects of the theme.

To me, being connected feels like being on a boat at sea — calm weather, sunshine, everything seems fine. But below the surface, there’s a whole world in motion. We know it’s there, but we can’t see it. It’s the same when you’re reading these words on your screen: you have no idea what might be happening behind the scenes.

I visited a second-hand shop and bought old computers, printers, keyboards, and monitors — along with background papers and reflective foils.

All images were created physically in front of the lens, using only minimal Photoshop to remove dust and fishing lines.
